要約:An innovative economy requires workers who can demonstrate logical thinking and argument, emotional intelligence and capacity to adapt to new ideas (Davies, Fidler, & Gorbis, 2011; Kinner, 2015): educational outcomes arguably intrinsic to Humanities, Arts and Social Science (HASS) disciplines (Blaich, Bost, Chan, & Lynch, 2005). In Australia, the 3-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) program is the primary means by which undergraduate students engage with HASS disciplines. This National Fellowship program was designed to address these challenges and difficulties, re-imagining the place of HASS disciplines in the contemporary higher education context, to re-imagine a value proposition for generalist HASS education that speaks to future students and employers. Activities linked peak bodies, students, academic leaders and teachers to enable cross-discipline conversations about HASS education and a whole-of-curriculum approach for the BA.
