| Özet: | The Murdoch and Curtin University design teams designed, developed and trialled teaching and learning modules that addressed the academic needs of students identified in the needs analysis stage of the Life project. The learning and teaching modules were trialled with a cohort of students from refugee backgrounds at each university in Semester 1, 2009. These modules, developed in response to the learning needs of students from refugee backgrounds can be selectively delivered as a short intensive program or modified to suit the university context. Although many of the topics are common issues for many students these modules allow time for cultural differences to be discussed and for students to process and articulate their experiences around a new culture of learning. |
