| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | Student volunteering is a practice adopted by universities to enhance student learning, and yet little is known about how and why this learning takes place. There is an urgent need to understand how universities, students and (volunteer) host organisations work together to enable successful outcomes for all parties, and so promote volunteering as a credible, cross-disciplinary legitimate component of the curriculum. The review of extant research has identified a clear need for a cross-institutional study involving all three stakeholders to develop models of good practice. Australian universities need clarity about a range of elements which will facilitate better outcomes. Approaches to university student volunteering will be documented and a good practice guide developed to enhance curriculum development and student learning. |
