| Izvleček: | The abilities to solve complex, unstructured problems and to communicate effectively are desirable in business school graduates. However, recent studies report deficiencies in Australian graduates' attributes in problem solving, judgement and communication. The case method helps students develop these skills by giving them realistic business scenarios to practice making and defending their decisions. However, the lack of regional and local content is a significant impediment to teaching business cases in Australia. In response, this project addresses the need for relevant business case material and professional development for educators in business education in Australian universities. A key aim was to foster the use of realistic cases that mirror actual business situations which enable students to develop critical thinking and communication skills, as they must apply theories and models to real-world problems, personally make decisions and defend them. |
