Zusammenfassung:The work-readiness of the paramedic graduate is related to the quality of the experiential practica and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with other health professionals. Inter-professional education and practice have an increasing role in clinical practica in the health professions. However, most inter-professional programs do not yet include paramedics. Only in recent years have paramedics undergone vocational preparation at universities in Australia and to date national professional standards and registration of graduates have not been established. A national curriculum with well-described standards is imperative to ensure reliable consistency in graduate preparedness for employment subsequent to degree completion. This is the final report from a project that engaged all institutions offering paramedical qualifications in Australia. The project generated and documented indicators of quality standards based on best practice experiential practica in International paramedic programs.
