الملخص:Most international students hate grammar. More engaging teaching methods, however, can make grammar more enjoyable and understandable. Research shows that a particularly important but difficult issue for international students is the English article system (the words a/the). This is the final report from a project that created the first in a series of online modules to explain grammar and other academic skills through an engaging video format. In the video, a detective solves grammar clues and involves the audience in a 'Who wants to be a grammar millionaire' quiz. The resource can be used in Australia or overseas, in a DVD or online format, suitable as a self-access tool for local and transnational students, and for teachers to use in their classes or in a Blackboard-type learning environment. After using the module, international students will be better equipped to write grammatical English, thus enhancing their learning experience. Evaluation of this project will inform future modules.
