Sumario:Final report from a project that focused on developing team skills using online tools. The deliverables for this project incorporate: (1) user manuals (hard copy and online), (2) a software program that can automate team allocation, student reflection, team monitoring and mentoring, (3) online student skill development modules that can be independent or part of the overall process, (4) workshops through academic staff development units, (5) a dedicated website, and (6) conference/ journal papers. The research will be conducted in three interconnected stages. Stage 1 involves the automation of the PETS process in relation to both team selection and peer assessment. Stage 2 involves the development of the online training module which contributes to both student preparation for team-based learning and monitoring of students' engagement with the team learning experience. Stage 3 will incorporate the outcomes of Stages 1 and 2 into compilation and dissemination of the resource. A steering group selected from the partner institutions will oversee the research and ensure that the final deliverables address all issues associated with both the diversity of student bodies in Australia and the different methods of teaching and learning.
