| الملخص: | Report from a project that investigated the establishment of a national assessment standard of medical students' attributes or learning outcomes in Australia. The author studied the range of models of collaborative assessment used around the world, including United States and United Kingdom. A Group of Eight (Go8) Medical Schools Assessment Collaborative, which is committed to collaborating on assessment within and across the Go8, has now been established. The author argues that formal collaboration between medical schools that each wants to be part of and can contribute to and benefit from, is the key to success.
