| Summary: | The Grants Scheme is a central activity of the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) and incorporates three programs: Competitive Grants Program; Leadership for Excellence in Learning; and the Priority Projects Program. The Competitive Grants Program supports research, innovation and development related to learning and teaching in higher education. The program had the following priorities in 2009: research and development focused on issues of emerging and continuing importance; strategic approaches to learning and teaching that address the increasing diversity of the student body; and innovation in learning and teaching, particularly in relation to new technologies. This report provides summaries of the 19 proposals approved for funding in 2009. |
