总结:Draft report on the Places and Spaces for Learning Seminars. The seminars arose out of the decision of the Board of the Carrick Institute to disseminate good practice and deepen understanding of the challenges, and areas of need, regarding the use of learning spaces to enhance learning and teaching in higher education. To support the endeavour of optimising space for teaching and learning, the Carrick Institute provided universities' staff and others with the opportunity to attend and contribute to a series of events between 17-28 September 2007 to identify, consolidate and disseminate good practice in the refurbishment and development of innovative learning and teaching environments. The fortnight of events included a series of seminars around Australia comprising international and local keynote speakers, an intensive environment design workshop and university visits. This report covers in greater detail the exciting new developments within Australia shared at each seminar. This draft version of the report was released as a resource for preparing applications for submission to the Priority Projects Program 2008. The final version of the report includes copies of slides from the presentations.
