總結:Industry and academia are both undergoing major transformations in response to global economic integration, population growth, occupational mobility and technological advances. These intersecting factors necessitate the need and capacity to respond to such circumstantial changes in resourceful, flexible and resilient ways. Funded by an Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) Seed Grant in 2012, the project has investigated the experiences of industry professionals making the move to academia and how they have responded to multiple professional and personal challenges associated with this trans-sector movement. This final report, which summarises the project, is structured into four parts: (1) an introduction to the project and surrounding issues faced by practitioner-academics; (2) recommendations to industry professionals considering a career change to academia; (3) the project's outcomes and deliverables.
