Sumario:The importance of teaching university students social justice principles is well established as a means to enhance students understanding of good citizenship, encourage civic engagement practices, and teach students to participate in community life. Despite critiques that the university social justice market has failed to alleviate social inequality, students still harbour an interest in addressing social problems, as the growth in university-level courses in international social justice demonstrates. However while postgraduate study can offer an excellent introduction to the why of social justice, many courses may be less effective in answering the practical how. This is a teaching guide from a project that aimed to close this gap between theoretical learning and practical experience when teaching university students social justice principles and practice. This project involved testing, modifying and disseminating a simulation and associated deliverables throughout Australia. This multi- institutional social justice simulation integrates activities from the local to international level and is a unique curriculum design project in Australia. The guide contains exercises in which social justice problems are posited and groups of students try to resolve or respond to these problems.
