Sumari:There is an urgent need to examine enabling program curriculum design approaches at the national level. This is due to increased enrolments in university enabling programs, and the number of institutions offering a diverse range of programs. There is no national research into enabling program curriculum design, and existing research on curriculum design and renewal for undergraduate students does not translate directly to enabling students. Final report from a project that collected data on three different institutional approaches to enabling curricula. It articulated, and validated at a national level, a set of principles of enabling curriculum design, providing an evidence base for a national strategic discussion of enabling curricula. Addressing what constitutes the curriculum of the diverse enabling program offerings throughout Australia provides enabling educators with a tool to assist in the design or redesign of courses and will inform assessment and improvement of quality in enabling programs.
