| सारांश: | Family violence takes a huge toll on the health of Australians and yet, for a decade, undergraduate teaching in this area has remained stagnant, despite the growing evidence of the serious health impacts. This project aimed to improve learning and teaching on family violence in pre-vocational primary health care courses in Australia in order to better equip graduates with the skills to intervene and respond by developing a teaching and learning resource for use with primary care students. The design included a six hour facilitated online module that provides students with a theoretical framework and a safe environment in which to explore this challenging aspect of health care. Evidence based practice will be reinforced with short video clips from survivor interviews and interviews with expert professionals. On completion, an open access, evidence-based, interactive, sustainable learning package will be available for institutions across Australia. The lead universities will champion systematic change through widespread dissemination and embedding it in their learning environment. |
