The methodology sought to foster and expand on the existing community of scholarly practice in relation to graduate attributes in order to inform and reinvigorate institutional curriculum renewal to achieve graduate attributes. Graduate attributes are descriptions of the core abilities and values a university community agrees all its graduates should develop as a result of successfully completing their university studies. This study builds on previous research into the reasons why individual academics are unlikely to develop curricula that address these attributes. Thirty six universities participated in the study. The project identified a GAP framework of eight interacting elements, which affect an institution's efforts to foster curriculum renewal to achieve graduate attributes. |
