| Tóm tắt: | Final report from a project that addressed the question: How do we redevelop original university classroom spaces to support new ways to enable and facilitate student learning in a cost effective manner? The project derived a set of principles to help guide the redevelopment of existing spaces and provides. a series of theoretical and practical resources, available via the project website. Starting with the literature in the field and then comparing this against an analysis of key stakeholder perceptions, the project derived a set of principles to help guide the redevelopment of existing spaces. These principles were then tested through the actual redevelopment of a number of spaces at each institution. Ultimately the project presents a series of theoretical and practical resources, available via the project website, including: a report on the development of the eight key design principles; a report containing 25 simple ideas for implementing the principles; and a 'multimedia kiosk' for exploration of redevelopment case studies that contains development plans, detailed descriptions of all design elements used, a gallery of images and an overview of evaluations of these spaces. In providing a series of workable and easily implementable learning space redesign solutions, the project demonstrates that it is possible to redevelop existing spaces, at minimal cost, in ways that better support new and emerging pedagogies. |
