| Riassunto: | Bank lending policies and their cultural norms are now more than ever a concern for policy makers worldwide. As in the United States and Europe, the federal government of Australia has begun a reform of the banking industry. A fundamental step to achieving reform will be to ensure the attributes and skills of banking staff are aligned with the government's broad policy objective of ensuring efficient and safe markets' and well informed consumers. In Australia, there are 173,643 students currently enrolled in business related tertiary courses. These graduates make up a substantial part of the banking and finance workforce, both in Australia and overseas. At present, the current pedagogical practices do not adequately equip these students with the skills they will require in a modern, post-reform banking industry. The proposed online pilot bank lending environment simulation aims to address this gap. |
