| Streszczenie: | Report from an investigation into the Australian occupational therapy (OT) competency standards to determine their utility, relevance, appropriateness and currency, and identify the extent of revision required to align the OT competency standards with contemporary requirements. Research involved three aspects. Firstly, a comprehensive literature review to benchmark the OT Competency Standards with contemporary standards of practice, internationally and nationally, within and across disciplines. Secondly, an online survey directed to key representatives familiar with the document. Thirdly, a national series of focus groups to solicit perspectives from members of the professional community. Outcomes of the analyses from these tasks are presented as a final list of recommendations. The project is then considered in terms of: lessons of value to other initiatives, reflections on the state of the OT discipline, and evaluation outcomes from stakeholder feedback. [p.5, ed] |
