Samenvatting:Report of a project to develop a standardised instrument to assess clinical performance of Australian physiotherapy students. An assessment instrument was required to meet the needs of students and educators and provide valid and reliable measurements of clinical competence. In particular the project: developed a competency based assessment instrument to evaluate the performance of physiotherapy students in the workplace; investigated and refined the psychometric properties of the instrument; and investigated the viability of using the instrument as a measure of physiotherapy competency in the practice environment.
