Описание
Итог:Final report from a project that used a computer based system to record physiological data from cardiac surgery patients, and used this data to teach aspects of cardiovascular physiology to second year medicine and science students. Twelve operations were recorded and the resulting files edited and annotated. Some video recordings were also made to illustrate the procedures involved. Students were able to "replay" the operation in the computer laboratory, and analyse the data. This material was generally well received by students who felt it was more relevant and useful than animal experiments. Researchers found that the very large amount of information tended to overwhelm some students, and so they are currently producing a series of tutorials based on this material which provides an introduction to the case based material.
