Tóm tắt:Journalism education is a constantly evolving field, with journalism programs and industry all seeking to respond to the latest technological advances. This project is designed to encourage dialogue between university-based Journalism educators and their industry-based peers who are providing jobs for graduates. The project is based around a fundamental question: what skill set should a Journalism graduate have when they enter the industry? Linked to this is a second question: to what extent should they be adaptable to change? In seeking answers to these questions, the project conducted comprehensive interviews with 50 academics and 50 industry practitioners with a view to producing a widely supported curriculum. It also hosted a national roundtable and conducted a series of benchmarking exercises (both national and international) with a view to encouraging debate on this important topic. This is the final report from the project.
