Scope of the Repository

Topic

Resources that contribute to the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoTL) are the core business of the Repository.

Audience

A key audience is learning and teaching researchers and practitioners, including early career academics. The repository also serves policy makers and the broader higher education sector.

Geographic focus

The Repository specifically collects resources that are produced by Australian higher education practitioners and researchers, or from reputable Australian organisations supporting learning and teaching in Australian higher education.

Publication status

High quality resources not previously published are welcome if they are relevant to learning and teaching in Australian higher education.

Language

The language of the collection is English. Resources translated into other languages, particularly Australian Indigenous languages are welcomed. An English version of all resources must be provided.

Licence

The OLT Resource Library content and other project materials (such as websites and multimedia) are made publicly available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike Licence. This is a worldwide, irrevocable license and all content will continue to be available as open access under this open licence.

Discipline

Both interdisciplinary and discipline-specific material related to learning and teaching is included. Content is tagged using the Australian Standard Classification of Education Descriptors (ASCED).

Currency

The Repository holds materials produced by Australian government-sponsored projects dating back to 1994. The Repository will consider all additional content related to these projects. Any other content submitted for consideration should have a publication date of 2015 or later.

Peer review

Peer reviewed material is encouraged, but not all materials in the Repository are peer-reviewed.
